Lot no. 1001
A stucco head of Buddha with traces of chromium. Depicted with a serene expression and an elegant hairstyle.
Gandhara region, area of Hadda, 3th-4th century
(h. cm 28) (defects)
The stylistic qualities of the head suggest that it could come from Hadda, known for the production of works in stucco with similar characteristics to this one, in which it is also evident a closeness with the style of the central Asian and Chinese sculpture.
