A very scarce iron-mounted targe dating: 18th Century provenance: Scotland, Of round, disc shape, made of wood, the entire surface covered with riveted, carved and pierced iron mounts (a small missing part). With an engraved and carved convex stud at the center with four interwoven oval rings, surrounded by six rosettes and triangular segments, border and side with riveted bands.
