A wheel lock pistol dating: About 1630 provenance: Brescia, Smoothbore, two-stage, 13 mm cal. barrel, octagonal at the first part, then round and with three small rings at the girdle, smooth tang. Lock with flat lock plate, external wheel, sliding pan cover. Wooden stock (small missing parts) decorated with iron mounts, faceted trigger guard, beautiful almond-shaped butt-plate also decorated with iron inlays with geometric motifs, iron-tipped wooden ramrod. Butt with a hole probably to fix a removable butt-stock. length 59.5 cm.
