ACHAEMENID STONE CYLINDER SEAL.
Ca. 600 - 400 BC.
A stone seal of cylindrical form, pierced longitudinally. At the centre, a seated figure wearing a horned headdress and a long garment occupies a chair, with one arm raised and the other resting on the lap. To the left, a standing figure wearing a similar headdress extends one hand forward. Between them, pairs of caprids are depicted. A star and a rosette appear in the background, along with a vertical plant.
