Magnificently calligraphed letter of nobility for Hernando Gijon from Almodóvar del Campo. - The three gold-coloured initials with floral decoration and black stem filling on pp. 3r and 7r against a vermilion and ultramarine blue background, respectively, filled with lavish tendrils in opaque white, the lower mouldings with the notary's signet. - Spine with small losses in places, covers somewhat rubbed, some pages slightly finger-stained and minimally foxed.
