Our painting is very probably the canvas exhibited in Lyon at the Salon de la Société des Amis des Arts in 1868, under the title Bords du Furan à Rossillon (Ain) (no. 12, attributed by tombola to Teissier-Bontoux).
This composition was also used for the etching Au Valromey produced by the artist in 1868 (Prouté 25, Jennings 22).
