This exceptional set documents the titanic project carried out by the firm L. Dupuy et P. Magnac aîné, in partnership with the Compagnie Générale des travaux publics et particuliers, with particular emphasis on the many machines and devices designed for the occasion (cranes, overhead travelling crane, lifting equipment, travelling carriage, railway track, trains, masts, tugs, etc.), providing valuable evidence of the advances in engineering at the end of the Second Empire.
This copy is complete with index plate and comes in its original printed hardback folder.
