Old restorations
The son of the animal painter Jacob Van Oolen, Adriaen Van Oolen, like his father, became a painter of birds, which often led to their being confused. An admirer of Melchior d'Hondecoeter, he also painted still lifes and landscapes. His style was always faithful to reality.
