EAGLE, GLOBE SUPPORT, KNOWN AS "DES TUILERIES In black patinated bronze, with outstretched wings, resting on a spindle. H: 16 cm - W: 25 cm B.E. Second Empire period. These eagles, arranged in threes, supported the globes on Parisian lampposts during the Second Empire. They were also found on the railings of the Tuileries. Provenance : Former Napoleonic collection of the Prince's Palace of Monaco. XXX A bronze patinated eagle known as "des Tuileries", from the Second Empire period
