A silver ewer and its basin, the ewer with a pedestal moulded with water leaves, the body applied to the base with foliage and flowering stems and a band applied with the symbols of the zodiac, the stopper in the form of a swan, very beautiful handle in the form of a term of zephyr with a bunch of grapes, the body engraved FC, the round basin with a threaded edge with the same decoration. Lyon Master-smith: François-Cécil SOCCARD 1819-1836 Height of ewer: 36.6 cm - Diameter of basin: 32.2 cm Total weight: 2,535 g Indentation at the foot of the ewer, tiny impact to the basin A similar model is in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Lyon. It was exhibited at the "Orfèvrerie de Lyon et de Trévoux" exhibition (12 May to 30 July 2000).
