Akimassa Nakanishi was the director of the magazine Franco-Nippone and one of the best-known members of the Japanese expatriate community in Paris at the beginning of the 20th century. The magazine ran from 1926 to 1930, with Kuni Matsuo (1899-1975) as editor-in-chief and Tsugouharu Foujita (1886-1968) as artistic director.
Marie-Louise Vignon contributed to the Revue Franco-Nipponne in 1926 and 1927.
