Naples, Typis regiis, 1685. 2 works in one volume in-12, red half-maroquin with corners, smooth spine, spotted edges (Binding circa 1800). Second edition by Bernardo Giunta of the Virgilian didactic poem by Luigi Alamanni (1495-1556), who took refuge in France under the protection of Francis I following a plot against Julius de Medici. The original edition was published in Paris by Robert Estienne in 1546. Beautifully printed in italics with the Giunta mark on the title and last leaf. The first edition of the poetic collection on fishing and navigation by the Neapolitan Jesuit Giannattasio (1648-1715), with a title-frontispiece and 10 out-of-text figures by Francesco Solimena engraved by Francois de Louvemont, has been bound in. Unidentified armorial bookplate. The last two leaves of La Coltivatione are shorter in margin. Minor marginal dampening and a few leaves slightly foxed; minor rubbing to binding, worm hole to spine.
