Albert Wenk (1863 Bühl - 1934 Munich) Morning mood on the coast of Capri Large-format, impressionistic landscape by Wenk, who favoured painting Capri motifs. He was strongly influenced by Gustav Schönleber, with whom he had studied at the art school in Karlsruhe. As early as 1892/93, he was represented at the Berlin Academy Exhibition and the Great Berlin Art Exhibition. He then settled in Munich, where he has since exhibited at the Glaspalast exhibitions. In 1911, Empress Auguste Viktoria purchased Wenk's painting "Evening Peace on Capri", and many aristocrats and industrialists bought his artworks, which travelled as far as overseas. Wenk was represented several times at art exhibitions in Pittsburgh, and in 1915 at the "Panama-Pacific International Exposition" (World's Fair) in San Francisco.
