In-folio (44 x 32 cm), red percaline, framed with cold filets and large gilt imperial arms in the centre of the boards, smooth spine with cold filets, gilt title, gilt edges (Period binding). The entire work is mounted on tabs. Edition decorated with an engraved title, two full-page engraved plates depicting the Corsican coat of arms and the imperial eagle and 38 photographs printed on albumen paper and mounted: 31 painted, engraved, photographed and sculpted portraits of the Bonapartes, and 7 of archives and places relating to the family's destiny. Rare copy enriched and completed with 3 portraits (one copper, one phototype and one photograph) of Prince Victor Napoleon. Binding a little rubbed, small stain on the arms. Freckles and a few stains.
