A residence visa valid for one month from 26 January 1892 (Meiji 25), issued by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, specifies the purpose of the journey as a health cure, and the itinerary as from Yokohama, via Tochigi, Kanagawa, Shizuoka, Aichi, Shiga, Kyoto, Nara and Osaka.
