Very important black lacquered cast iron cloakroom comprising an umbrella holder at the bottom, a shelf in the middle and seven pegs framing a central mirror at the top.
It features a rich openwork decoration in relief of flowers, foliage, fluting, interlacing and scrolls.
The shelf is marked "Corneau Alfred à Charleville" and numbered "25".

Alfred CORNEAU, a master forger, set up a foundry with his brother Emile in 1846, producing cast iron for building and heating.
