"For his next works, other than those for which he is engaged, which consist of 1° two historical novels, 2° Souvenirs de servitude militaire, 3° Seconde Consultation du Docteur noir, and the reprinting of those for which he has returned to the property, Mr de Vigny undertakes, on the same conditions as those which would be offered to him, to give preference to M. Souverain". 10th March. Receipt of the sum of 2000 francs. [2nd half of March]. "I would ask Mr Souverain to examine this sheet carefully once the information I have added has been printed. - I am putting the final press proof on so as not to delay it.
