Allegorical figure cycle "Four Seasons" Personifications of the four seasons standing on four-footed, rocaille plinths. The allegory of spring as a young woman in a long, floral patterned robe, smelling a blossom and accompanied by a child with a basket of flowers. The allegory of summer is similarly dressed, holding a sickle and a bundle of ears of corn, accompanied by a child carrying more ears of corn. The allegory of autumn as a young man girded and crowned with vines, leaning against a tree trunk next to a satyr child sitting on a barrel of wine. The allegory of winter as a bearded old man in a fur-lined robe warming himself by a blazing fire, in the company of a wood-chopping boy. Polychrome painting with gold contouring.
