Bust of John George I right, wearing Elector's cap, holding sword high and shield in front of him; legend IOH - GEOR and above 1630 - 25 Juny. Rv. TURRIS - FORTISSIMA - NOMEN - DOMINI, legend interspersed with four shields [Meissen, Electorate of Saxony, Thuringia and Saxony]. At centre, bust of John I right, holding sword high; legend IOAN - NES and at top 1530 - 25 Juny. Kahnt 303 v. - Fr.2693 ; Gold - 34,67 g - 44,5 mm - 6 h NGC UNC DETAILS REV GRAFFITI (8583595-004). On a slightly irregularly shaped and slightly warped blank. Only minimal handling marks and barely scratched in 15 (of 1530). An X graffiti on the reverse is certainly old and indicates the module of X (10) ducats. The patina is a beautiful golden-orange. Spectacular.
