AMLASH TERRACOTTA VESSEL ON OPENWORK HIGH PEDESTAL. Ca. 1000 - 700 BC. A terracotta vessel raised on a tall openwork conical pedestal. The deep bowl meets the stand above a narrow frieze of incised chevrons; a round-section loop handle projects from one side and a wide spout from the other. The pedestal flares to a broad foot and is pierced by evenly spaced circular openings arranged in vertical registers. The exterior of the bowl is finished with fine cross-hatching.For similar see: K.
