Representing a bird in a highly stylised and refined way. The figurine has an abstract, geometric shape characteristic of proto-dynastic Mesopotamian art: a compact, rounded body representing the bird's domed chest, a slightly arched back, and a schematic head ending in a short beak. The wings are suggested by rounded lateral volumes in slight relief. The rock crystal is milky-translucent, with natural inclusions and a few internal cracks typical of this material. The surface is smooth and polished, reflecting the long process of shaping and finishing with abrasives. Excellent condition. Complete integrity with suspension perforation intact. Well-preserved polished surface. Slight age patina in some areas. Natural rock crystal inclusions and internal cracks.
