QUADRANGULAR RELIQUARY AMULET in gold inlaid with polychrome glassware, depicting on the obverse a four-armed Maitreya seated on a lotus amid foliage, holding a small stupa in his left hand and the wheel of the Dharmachakra law in his right, while performing abhayamudra ("gesture of fearlessness") and varadamudra ("gesture of giving"); the reverse of a geometric mandala depicting a simple tetrahedron, from the Nyingma tradition.
