An armour with closed helmet dating: 1560 - 1570 provenance: Southern Germany, Helmet with iron skull, provided with a small comb, back part in two pieces, riveted and with plume-holder; visor ribbed in the center, slightly raised tip and with the only eye-slot, ventail ribbed in the center, smooth beaver, two plates of the neckguard and one of the nape-guard. Different repairs. Elegant breast-plate, ribbed with tapul, with protruding and twisted neckline and gussets (riveted), five, circular stamps shaping a cross under the neckline, a folding rest on the right side, with mark 'WR' above the carousel helmet, two loin-guards. Complete with back-plate with two culet plates, gorget with pauldrons with five (the left one with six) plates; the arm-cannons with undulated lower border, elbow-piece with wings, fore-arm and knuckle-shields. Tassets with eight plates and knee-cop. Small parts missing and defects, but all in all a fine uniform armour. On a wooden mannequin with suede boots. height total 170 cm.
