An enamelled Viennese casket, late 19th century Rectangular bronze body with hinged lid on four pierced, flared feet. The sides and lid inlaid with bronze panels decorated with polychrome enamelled Art Nouveau flower ornaments. The corners with ornamentally nielloed and riveted silver panels featuring an applied bronze scarab. On each of the four side corners a three-dimensional lizard and leaves. Lock with hasp and riveted cover plate of nielloed silver on the obverse. Lid with hinged handle. Wooden lining and three compartments on the inside. Reinforced silver edges with Vienna hallmark and "RAS" mark. Later iron key. Dimensions circa 40 x 24 x 24 cm. Weight 14.17 kg. Condition: II
