An extremely rare U.S. Martial Serial Number Range Henry rifle dating: 1863 provenance: USA Octagonal, rifled (a pitting area inside), 44 rimfire cal., with turnable segment at the front, provided with sight, adjustable and foldable rear sight, featuring remains of the writing "HENRYS PATENT OCT. 16 1860 / MANUFACT'D BY NEW HAVEN ARMS. CO. NEW HAVEN. CT.", provided with serial number "34xx" at the base and with mark "H" on the right side. Magazine fit in the barrel and complete with brass slide. Brass frame (maybe a small reparation on the lower tang). Wooden butt with brass butt plate; ramrod that can be dismantled (later?) at the inside. Working mechanics. The serial number on the barrel is included into a lot of 800 samples, ordered by the American government to the New Haven company on December, 13th 1863. See "The Historic Henry Rifle" by W.
