"Finely and deeply carved, moulded in detail with sharp corners; at the front face, among pine trees, is a scholar playing his qin for his pupil, at the rear one among the outlined rocks is a small area where is engraved and gilded the Qianlong poem ''how pleasant it is to listen to qin music under pine trees'' dated 1779, marked Qianlong Yuzhi and signed probably by Chen Yong. Placed on a zitan wood base outstandingly carved with trees and rocks. Qing dynasty."
