An important large gilt bronze Buddha Sakyamuni

Provenance : Tibet
"This splendid Buddha is seated on a large double-lotus pedestal with beaded borders, in bhumisparsa mudra position, the right hand is turned towards the earth while the left one is in meditative position; serene expression and downcast eyes, his robe is draped to leave the right shoulder bare, and a portion of the garment that covers the left wrist falls behind the figure. The size and the elegant chiselling suggest a high rank commission. Qing dynasty."
