An Italian, late Romanesque, lidded holy water font, 12th century The thick-walled font carved in one piece in light-coloured, fine-pored stone. A row of four semi-circular handles around the edge. Tapering, grooved lid (chipped on the side), the knob carved in the shape of a stylised lamb. Diameter without handles 24 cm, height including lid 37 cm. Provenance: From a Belgian private collection. Condition: II - III
