Amsterdam and Paris, Visse, 1789-an VII [1798]. 10 volumes in-8, red morocco, three gilt fillets and a fine garland, smooth spine decorated, inner lace, gilt edges (period binding). First edition of this vast collection of ana published by the lawyer and literary scholar Charles-Georges-Thomas Garnier. The first nine volumes were published by Visse from 1789 to 1791 and the tenth by Belin after the Revolution.
A very fine copy, luxuriously bound in the period.
