ANCIENT EGYPTIAN STEATITE AMULET, PTOLEMAIC PERIOD, 332 - 30 B.C. This Egyptian steatite amulet dates back to the Ptolemaic period, 332 - 30 B.C., and stands 6 cm in height. Steatite, was commonly used by the Egyptians for carving intricate designs. This piece features detailed carvings on both sides, showcasing religious iconography, possibly including deities and sacred symbols. One side displays a lotus motif and figures under a temple-like structure, while the reverse features detailed hieroglyphs and additional imagery, including possible divine or royal figures.
