André Faurie, known as PUEBLO, was born on 2 May 1911 and lived in Saint Cloud. He exhibited regularly with the "Peintre Témoin de leur Temps" movement and became friends with other established artists of his time, including the series of self-portraits at the end of the sale. He died on 22 December 1999. The fifty or so paintings by the artist are family heirlooms!
