It has been written that each print in Warhol's Myths series represents a part of his personality and how he perceived himself, including this dangerous character, Dracula. With his very pale skin and night-owl habits, ‘Drella’ became the self-proclaimed nickname of Warhol; a symbiosis of the two fairy tale characters, Dracula and Cinderella. His interest in Dracula can be dated to 1974 when he produced a film entitled Blood for Dracula, which was a witty parody on the various Dracula tropes interspersed with homoerotic and violent scenes.
