ANGLO-SAXON VIKING SILVER FACE PENDANT Ca. AD 700 - 800. A silver pendant in the form of a stylised human face with arched brows, rounded eyes, and a prominent moustache above a pointed beard. The facial features are enclosed within a teardrop-shaped outline, with incised lines indicating hair and beard texture. A ribbed suspension loop is integrated at the top. The reverse is plain and slightly concave. Size: 45.8mm x 25.4mm; Weight: 12.64g Provenance: Private UK collection; previously acquired on the London art market in the 1990s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
