Anthony Redmile (England, 1940 - ?)
Pair of sculptures made from a "blonde" South American giant river turtle shell (Podocnemis expansa) from the late 19th century, mounted in a later date on a silver-plated support by the famous designer Anthony Redmile.

As we can read on the designer's website, https://redmile.com/about: "Anthony Redmile was one of the leading eccentric designers in art objects of the late 20th Century, he saw ideas and designs most would have questioned - however, his pieces soon became sought after by many collectors and remain so, half a century later".
CITES Appendix II, Annex A (exempt). As this specimen is pre-1947 no article 10 is required.
