Reference: Documentation: A painter born in Tremona in 1816, he trained alongside the neoclassical artist Luigi Sabatelli at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera. After completing his studies, he returned to Ticino and settled in his native village of Tremona, which he never left. He worked for wealthy individuals and ecclesiastics.
