Small in-8, blond calf, spine decorated, triple gilt fillet on the covers, gilt roulette on the edges, gilt lace inside, gilt edges (Early binding). Second edition published by Martin Lister of this famous compilation of Roman culinary recipes. According to Graesse, only 100 copies of this revised and enlarged edition were printed, but Vicaire does not consider this to be absolutely certain. The volume is decorated with a title-frontispiece by Jan Goeree showing the interior of an antique kitchen. A fine copy despite slightly dulled corners.
