APOLLODORUS OF ATHENS. Βιβλιοθήκης ή περί Θεών. Bibliotheces, sive de deorum origine. S.l. [Heidelberg], Officina Commeliniana, 1599. In-8, stiff overlapping vellum, initials LVM and date 1618 stamped on first board, smooth spine, red edges (Binding of the period). Greco-Latin edition procured by Jérôme Commelin, giving the Greek text and Benedetto Egio's Latin translation in two columns. The Library of Apollodorus is a compilation of Greek myths composed around the 2nd century.
Bound after: VALÈRE MAXIME. Dictorum factorumque memorabilium libri novem. Hanau, Wechel, 1614. Scholarly edition published by Christoph Köler with commentary and notes by Étienne Vinand, known as Pighius, and Juste Lipse.
Copy of Ludolf von Münchhausen (1570-1640), with his initials LVM and the date of acquisition 1618 stamped on the first cover of the binding.
