APULIAN RED-FIGURE SKYPHOS WITH LADY OF FASHION Ca. 400 - 300 BC. A red-figure skyphos with twin horizontal handles and a ring base, decorated on one side with a female profile head, the so-called “Lady of Fashion,” shown facing left, her hair arranged in a high coiffure with added white detailing. The opposite side displays an owl with its head raised. Both depictions are framed by scrolling tendrils with palmettes, and the upper rim is bordered with a frieze of vertical lines above the owl and a frieze of wave pattern runs above the female head.
