APULIAN RED-FIGURE SQUAT LEKYTHOS Ca. 350 - 300 BC. A red-figure squat lekythos with an ovoid body, cylindrical neck, and flared mouth, standing on a ring foot. The front shows a winged Eros seated and looking left, holding a deep bowl in his raised right hand and supporting a conical vessel on his lap with his left. A band of short vertical strokes encircles the base of the neck. The reverse bears a large palmette with scrolling volutes. For similar see: The British Museum, Museum number 1772,0320.302.
