APULIAN SKYPHOS WITH LADY OF FASHION BY THE T.P.S. GROUP
Ca. 350 - 330 BC.
A black-glazed pottery skyphos with an inverted bell-shaped body and two horizontal handles. It is decorated on both sides in the red-figure with profile depiction of a Lady of Fashion. The head is shown facing left, with a detailed hairstyle and surrounded by scroll motifs. A wave pattern runs below the rim and large palmettes are below the handles. The vessel rests on a disc-shaped foot.
