APULIAN TERRACOTTA OINOCHOE WITH LAUREL WREATH.
Ca. 350 BC
A terracotta oinochoe with a rounded body on a narrow ring foot and a short neck rising to a trefoil mouth. A single strap handle is attached from the shoulder to the rim. The body is decorated with an encircling frieze of laurel wreath with paired leaves, framed above and below by fine horizontal lines.
Size: 155mm x 110mm; Weight: 370g.
Private London collection; previously acquired on the Belgian art market; originally in the collection of L Evrard, Liege 1980’s.
