APULIAN XENON WARE KYLIX WITH A HARE. Ca. 330 - 280 BC. A stemless kylix with a shallow bowl and a pair of horizontal loop handles extending from the sides. The vessel rests on a short, stepped foot. The interior features a central tondo depicting a hare in profile, positioned on a horizontal ground line and enclosed within concentric circles. The surrounding area is decorated with a wreath composed of elongated laurel leaves. A continuous frieze of laurel runs along the exterior, bearing paired leaves extending outward from a central stem.
