APULIAN XENON WARE KYLIX WITH DOG Ca. 325 - 275 BC. A beautiful Apulian kylix in a style referred to as "Xenon ware." The stunning vessel has two raised handles extending from near the rim and a pronounced foot. The black background has attained some iridescence from age. Decorated with repeating bands of grape vines along the inner rim, and scrolls surrounding a running horse /dog with a long tail. The exterior is elegantly embellished with repeating leaves.
