Numerous figures in the text and 24 plates outside the text, some double-page or fold-out. This classic astronomical work was published by order of Arago, permanent secretary of the Académie des Sciences, under the direction of J.-A. Barral. A few small rubs to the headpieces and spines, small scattered brown spots, otherwise a fine copy.
