Argentina Péron, Juan Certificate of appointment of Marcelo del Carmen Mujica Sarmendia as Argentine Consul General of Brazil in Sao Paolo. With the autograph signature of Juan Péron, President of the Republic of Argentina (1895-1945). Buenos Aires, 7 January 1955. 1 sheet. Approx. 40 x 32 cm. Printed and calligraphically completed presidential document on strong, large-format cardboard, with the Argentine national coat of arms printed in colour and gold and embossed in blind. - Juan Domingo Perón was an Argentine military officer and politician, and as such the founder of Peronism. He was President of the Argentine Republic in 1946, 1951-1955 and 1974. - This certificate was issued at the beginning of 1955, the year in which Péron lost the presidency in a military coup. - See: Der Spiegel. Vol. 9, No. 39 (1955), with the article "Mit den Gauchos an die Macht" about Péron and his portrait on the title page. - Document with a backed marginal tear, with centrefold, somewhat finger- and dirt-stained and creased.
