FIREARMS. Pair of flintlock pommel pistols with moulded walnut mounts, cut brass fittings, round barrels with thunderbolt side panels engraved with coats of arms (effaced) under county crowns and upper flats engraved "M- A-Limoges", breech shafts engraved with cherubs, Flat-bodied locks engraved with the goddess Athena on bundles of arms and signed "MALISSEN à LIMOGES" on the lower rim, swan-necked hammers chased with a bird, long-tailed caps, original wooden ramrod with iron head. L: 54 cm, barrel: 34 cm. Louis XV period (1710-1774). On one of the pistols, the cap tail has been repaired, the other is broken, the frame has been damaged and repaired, part of the brass ramrod holder is missing on the other pistol.
