Ottoman "Pala" sabre with brass fittings, crook handle with dark horn plates, straight cruciate with auricles (shortened by wear), straight quillons ending in a lens, curved blade with flat back and wide counter-edge partially engraved with gilded Arabic characters (fragment of a protective formula), leather scabbard with 2 iron fittings engraved with arabesques and silver floral motifs. L: 78 cm, blade: 64 cm. 1st Empire-Restauration period. Blade cleaned, iron fittings oxidised, one auricle restored. ABE
