WHITE WEAPONS. Dragoon troop sabre model AN IV, brass mounting, short-tailed cap, hooked joint bow guard, wide "S" secondary limb attached to the shell by a lictor's beam surmounted by a Phrygian cap, curved quillon in the form of a palmette and hallmarked (illegible), top stamped "MARCHAL" on the outside, wooden spindle covered with basane and twisted brass filigree, straight flat blade stamped with the lictor's beam, leather scabbard without ribs with 3 brass fittings cut into a brace and decorated with a double line, asymmetrical angular iron sting. L: 109.5 cm, blade: 95 cm. The end of the blade is worn and has lost some of its width. ABE
