CUPBOARD WITH ALLEGORIES in richly carved and painted walnut wood in the style of furniture by Hugues Sambin. The upper part has two architectural and three terms. The lower part lower part with three panels, two leaves two drawers. Front legs ball feet. Stamped by Mercier Frères Paris. 19th century in the Renaissance style. Height: 185 cm - Width: 140 cm Depth : 58,5 cm (Minor damage and missing parts) PROVENANCE - Sotheby's London, 29 October 2008, lot 240. - Private collection. This architectural cabinet was inspired by one attributed to Hugues Sambin (circa 1520 - 1601) housed in the Musée du Louvre in Paris, formerly in the collection of the Marquise Arconati Visconti, 1916 [Inv.
