Auch dieser Reif ist ein Unikat und wurde mit gelieferten Gemmen aus der Antiken-Sammlung des Auftraggebers gefasst. Im Atelier der Kölner Goldschmiedin Elisabeth Treskow hatte Fritz Deutsch schon früh eine Meisterschaft im Verarbeiten antiker Glyptik erlangt. Typisch für seine Arbeiten ist eine gekonnte Verschmelzung von Tradition und Moderne. Bei diesem Reif steigerte er durch das offene Fassen der antiken Steine deren Leuchtkraft und kombinierte sie raffiniert mit der rauhen abstrakten Oberflächenstruktur des Goldes, die ganz dem modernen Zeitgeschmack der 1970er Jahre entspricht. Andererseits hat der feingoldfarbene Reif, aus dem die Steine herausleuchten, hat aber auch eine antike Anmutung und gemahnt an byzantinische Goldschmiedearbeiten. Provenienz Nachlass Inca Bauer. This bangle is also a custom-made piece using intaglios from the patron's collection. Fritz Deutsch already became an expert in working with antique gem carvings in the workshop of the goldsmith Elisabeth Treskow. His works are characterised by a refined blending of tradition and modernity. In this design, he increased the luminosity of the intaglios by placing them in openwork settings. Combined with the raw, abstract ornamentation of the gold, the piece perfectly suited the taste of the 1970s. At the same time, the gold band in which the intaglios are set retains an air of antiquity reminiscent of Byzantine works.
